The staff and children of Ambleside Academy would like to extend a very warm welcome to you. When you enter Ambleside we want you to feel at ease and welcomed into a lively, happy, friendly place.
Ambleside Academy joined the Raleigh Learning Trust in 2018. The school building is bright and spacious with large shared areas for practical work, and generous outdoor spaces for learning and playing together.
As a three-form entry school, we are larger than an average-sized primary school, and also have a Nursery which caters for 78 part time places in both morning and afternoon sessions.
Our school places a strong emphasis on creating a safe and caring environment, where all children can learn and grow as individuals.
The school population is diverse and pupils represent a range of ethnicities and faith groups. We are an inclusive school, welcoming children with varied additional needs, and are aspirational for all our pupils.
We are continuing to develop a broad and balanced curriculum that meets both the requirements of the National Curriculum and the needs of the pupils, and are committed to offering a range of extra-curricular activities. Ambleside Academy has a number of successful sporting teams, provides residential experiences in Years 2-6, and encourages its pupils to take part in outdoor and adventurous activities to help stay healthy in mind and body.
